Para frenar esta progresi\u00f3n es fundamental tener muy presentes tres pilares: prevenci\u00f3n, diagn\u00f3stico y tratamiento. En todo ello se incide con motivo del D\u00eda Mundial de la Diabetes que se celebra cada 14 de noviembre.<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">La\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sediabetes.org\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Diabetes<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, su Fundaci\u00f3n (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fundacion.sediabetes.org\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">FSED<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">) y la\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fundacion.sediabetes.org\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Federaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Diabetes<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0ponen el foco este a\u00f1o\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">en el<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0personal de enfermer\u00eda con el lema \u2018El personal de Enfermer\u00eda y la Diabetes\u2019 para concienciar sobre el papel imprescindible que desempe\u00f1a este colectivo<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0y garantizar la atenci\u00f3n adecuada a las personas con diabetes.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-contrast=\"none\">Claves para prevenir la diabetes<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">L<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">a diabetes es una enfermedad cr\u00f3nica que se produce cuando el p\u00e1ncreas deja de producir la insulina necesaria para el organismo. O bien cuando es<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0insulina no es\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">empleada eficazmente por el cuerpo.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Dado que esta sustancia es la encargada de regular el az\u00facar en\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">la\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">sangre, los diab\u00e9ticos\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">tienen el riesgo de sufrir hiperglucemia<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0o, lo que es lo mismo, el incremento descontrolado\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">de<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">l<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0az\u00facar.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Hay una serie de\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">factores que influyen en la aparici\u00f3n de la diabetes<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">. Uno de ellos es el componente hereditario, pero hay m\u00e1s. Tener sobrepeso, presi\u00f3n arterial alta, llevar un estilo de vida sedentario o ser fumador<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0son algunas de las causas que explican la\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">presencia<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0de esta enfermedad.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 podemos hacer para prevenirla o retrasar su aparici\u00f3n? En primer lugar es fundamental llevar un\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">control del peso<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">. Para lograrlo hay que establecer un\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">plan de alimentaci\u00f3n saludable<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0donde se reduzcan las grasas\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">y los az\u00facares a la vez que<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0aumente el consumo de legumbres, frutas y verduras. Todo ello tiene que llevar aparejada una rutina de\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">ejercicios diarios<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0que pueden consistir simplemente en caminar al menos media ahora cada d\u00eda.
